Terms of service

You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions taken by API tokens you create and by AI agents you connect.

If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.

Steerpane provides remote browser sessions, persistent profiles, live view, human takeover, hosted agents, functions, fetch and search APIs, webhooks, a credentials vault and recordings (together, the "Service").

We may change or improve the Service over time. If we remove a feature you rely on in a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice.

You agree not to use the Service, or let agents you control use it, to:

• break the law or violate the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights;
• access accounts, systems or data you are not authorized to access;
• circumvent security controls, rate limits or verification challenges on third-party sites without permission;
• send spam, run fraud, or distribute malware;
• disrupt or overload the Service or other customers' sessions.

You are responsible for complying with the terms of the websites your agents visit.

You keep all rights to the data you put into the Service, including profiles, credentials, recordings and outputs ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to host and process Customer Data only to provide and secure the Service.

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy policy.

Paid plans are billed in advance for the subscription and in arrears for overage. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may suspend sessions that exceed plan limits until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade.

If you run Steerpane on your own infrastructure, your use is governed by your license agreement and these terms. The Chromium browser image is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 and that license controls your use of it.

You may cancel at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms or if required to protect the Service or others. On termination, you can export Customer Data for 30 days, after which we delete it.

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect.
